CFE is very concerned about attacks on or near hospitals and health centres and areas of high population in both Gaza and Israel and the concomitant threat to all people with very vulnerable health conditions, including those with cystic fibrosis (CF) living in the region.

We understand the very high tensions that currently exist between the warring parties and the likelihood of the further escalation of violence in coming days and months.

We add our voice to international humanitarian bodies calling for a ceasefire to ensure that all with life threatening diseases such as CF have an opportunity to receive urgent medical care and life sustaining supplies at this very difficult time.
