Computer assisted diagnosis (CAD) for monitoring CF airway disease (CAD) – The CAD-CAD project
|Clinical research||Netherlands||Prof. Harm Tiddens|
Efforts to detemine which patients would benefit from each drug consist of either functional or membranetransport assays in vitro, which determine whether CFTR has improved channel activity or whether it has left the endoplasmatic reticulum, respectively. Not all CFTR mutants respond to existing drugs in these assays, and these mutants are called “non-responders”.
