Call for abstracts EYIM 2025

Submit your abstract for the 18th European Cystic Fibrosis Young Investigator Meeting (EYIM) 2025 and join an international network of CF researchers in Paris.

The European Cystic Fibrosis Young Investigator Meeting (EYIM) is a scientific meeting organised by 7 national CF patient organisations, under the umbrella of CF Europe and endorsed by the European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS). It aims to foster interactions between young scientists in order to create a long-term collaborative European network of CF investigators. The meeting is open both to fundamental and clinical researchers, and the organizers would also like to encourage researchers within psychosocial sciences to apply. The 18^th EYIM will take place at the “Institut National des Jeunes Sourds”, in Paris (France) from February 26^th to 28^th 2025.

An international scientific committee will select the 35 best abstracts from candidates (young investigators under 40 years old), who will then be invited to present their work at the meeting. They will be offered the opportunity to give a 10-minute talk or to present a poster. The best talk and poster will be granted an award by the scientific committee.

Leading scientists will moderate the different sessions, including the introductory sessions and roundtable discussions. They will give state-of-the-art lectures on microbiology, immunology, cell biology, gene therapy, clinical issues and psychosocial sciences in CF.

This meeting provides a unique training opportunity for young scientists and the possibility to share their experience with peers. The interactive format of the meeting encourages networking.

There is no registration fee; housing and meals will be covered for all participants.

Travelling costs for participants coming from European countries will be funded by the organizing patient organisations, for a maximum amount of € 160 (public transportation only is reimbursed).

Further reimbursement will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

We invite young researchers from non-European countries to ask for support for travelling costs from their own patient organisation.

We kindly ask you to disseminate this call amongst young investigators involved in CF research and to encourage them to apply for this meeting, which is a major regular event in the CF scientific community.
